Hot cross buns

Hot Cross buns are traditionally eaten around Easter. They are made with a soft spelt brioche dough and spiced with mince meat - not necessarily left over from Christmas ! These buns contain butter, milk and eggs and are a wonderful treat. Hot Cross buns are only available for about 2 weeks before Easter. Otherwise try cinnamon swirl or the Austrian Breakfast plait as they are also a brioche.

Ingredients: Organic white spelt flour, rock salt, sugar, Free range eggs, Irish milk, Irish butter, Christmas mince meat, yeast.
